Sponsorship Microsite Terms and Conditions

The Stroke Association, whose registered office is at Stroke House, 240 City Road, London EC1V 2PR (Registered Charity No. in England & Wales 211015, in Scotland No. SC037789. Also registered in Isle of Man (No 945) Jersey (NPO 369) and in Northern Ireland.), issues these Terms and Conditions for its Fundraising Profile / Microsite. By using the fundraising profile / Microsite, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.


Target Audience

The Fundraising Profile / Microsite is intended for use only in relation to The Stroke Association sponsorship and event activities.


Currency for Transactions

All transactions must be in Sterling.


Gift Aid

When you are making a donation to The Stroke Association on this Fundraising Profile / Microsite you will be asked to confirm that you are a UK taxpayer meeting the criteria of the Gift Aid scheme.


The Stroke Association will reclaim the tax back on every eligible sponsorship donation made through this Microsite in accordance with the rules of the Gift Aid Scheme as they apply at the time.


The Stroke Association is not an accounting, taxation or financial advisor, and you should not rely on information given on the Fundraising Profile / Microsite to determine the accounting, tax or financial consequences of making a donation to The Stroke Association.


User Responsibilities and Warranty

You are classified as a "User" of this site by becoming a fundraiser, donor, contributor to the picture, video library or to the blog.

In the event that you commit a breach of these Terms and Conditions, The Stroke Association reserves the right at its sole discretion to immediately and without notice suspend or permanently deny your access to all or part of the Fundraising Profile / Microsite and services.

The Microsite uses 2048bit encryption security software throughout however the security of information and payments transmitted via the internet cannot be guaranteed. Any loss incurred or sustained by any user who transmits information via this Fundraising Profile / Microsite by e-mail or other internet links shall be borne solely and exclusively by the user and in no event shall any loss in whole or part be borne by The Stroke Association or any organisation connected with this Fundraising Profile / Microsite.
